I was so happy to have a juicy catch-up with old friends Harmony Slater and Russell Case back in July. I met these delightful creatures back in 2007 in Mysore, and I've seen them a few times over the years, but not nearly as much as I would have liked. We had a little catch-up during Sharath's workshop in Miami last year, but we still had so much more catching up to do. I was honored to be invited on their podcast, "Finding Harmony," to talk about all things yoga and not yoga. We talked about growing up in a traditional-ish Korean family, being a first-generation child of immigrants in the '70's, and generational karma and trauma, birth, teaching Mysore classes -- among other things. I'm not gonna lie, it was a ton of fun, and maybe a little bit disconcerting to realize that we've become an "older" generation of Ashtanga students and teachers. Like I said, it was a juicy convo, and I would have loved to talk story with them all day.
